Prof. Dr. Peter Duvinage joins Klinkert Partners to further boost the firm’s sports-media and commercial law practice
On 1 April, Prof. Dr. Peter Duvinage has joined Klinkert Partners as Of Counsel. The Frankfurt-based law firm continues the expansion of its renowned sports-media and commercial legal practice led by Piet Bubenzer, Annett Rombach and Christian Frodl.
Preeminent Prof. Dr. Peter Duvinage has complemented the Frankfurt law firm Klinkert’s sports-media and commercial law practice on1 April 2023. Prof. Dr. Duvinage brings decades of experience as a lawyer in these practice areas to the table. He teaches as a professor at various renowned universities in Germany. As Of Counsel at Klinkert Partners, Prof. Dr. Duvinage will continue to advising his impressive client base together with the Klinkert team.
Prof. Dr. Duvinage’s practice focuses on the legal and commercial aspects of professional sports (including federations, leagues, clubs and individual athletes) and media (including marketing, media rights, social media, sponsoring, and other advertising contracts). He also advises financial institutions in the area of sports financing (e.g. regarding transfer and license proceeds), but also companies in other industries on corporate law issues. His clients benefit from his decades of experience and the multi-faceted network he has established over many years as trusted advisor in Germany and abroad.
His clients include national and international sports associations and leagues. In the run-up to the “new” handball CL, numerous European handball clubs relied on his expertise. He also advised various Bundesliga football clubs on advertising rights. Numerous prominent athletes (e.g. Mario Götze, Sven Hannawald, Toni Kroos, Holger Badstuber) also belong to his clientele.
